The MassTech game engine was the proprietary game engine of Massive Entertainment, first used in Ground Control II: Operation Exodus. MassTech includes DX9 and DX10 renderers, particle systems, vegetation and water rendering and also physics and animation. Tools used for content creation is also an important part of it. It is a fast engine, which allows tons of units to be rendered with high realism.
