The U.S. Army Rangers are a special forces unit of the United States Army.
When the Spetsnaz took over Ellis Island and seized American military weapons and equipment, Captain Vance leads the Army Rangers in retaking the island with Colonel Sawyer's aid. They also serve as the U.S forces paratroopers, when calling for airborne units they can be heard referring to themselves as rangers.
